Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Corporate Engineering Manager to lead and oversee engineering teams across multiple manufacturing sites. This role requires a strong background in engineering leadership within the manufacturing industry, with a focus on driving innovation, optimizing efficiency, and enhancing product quality.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing engineering strategies that align with production goals while effectively managing teams, projects, and processes to foster continuous improvement and operational success.
Job Duties:
- Design and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, with a focus on precision CNC and grinding.
- Lead process and equipment improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Conduct research and development to propose innovative product designs and process enhancements.
- Ensure technical accuracy in project execution and design reviews.
- Oversee scope, timeline, and cost management for multiple manufacturing projects.
- Estimate and track project costs, ensuring strong ROI and sound investment justifications.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with external vendors and suppliers.
- Handle up to 12 projects simultaneously, with varying levels of involvement across multiple locations.
- Develop and communicate a clear strategic vision for engineering teams, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
- Lead a global team across multiple sites, managing approximately 10 direct reports.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth for engineers across diverse locations.
- Lead product and machinery development from concept to full-scale production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify customer needs and market opportunities.
- Oversee internal and external project execution, ensuring seamless coordination with suppliers and partners.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in an engineering related field
- 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment (Metals machining), with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Experience with CAD modeling; Solidworks preferred
- Experience utilizing Project Management software
- Experience interfacing and coordinating with global teams
