Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) professional to join our team as an EHS Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements, including OSHA and ADEM, concerning environmental programs and employee health and safety.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Facility's Emergency Coordinator, ensuring readiness for potential incidents
- Oversee incident investigations and lead response teams for environmental, health, and safety (EHS) events
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all relevant state, county, and local regulations
- Conduct authorized safety training, including new hire orientation, OSHA compliance, CPR, and AED certification
- Monitor daily operations to promote and maintain safe working conditions
- Lead the Facility's Safety Committee to foster a proactive safety culture
- Perform safety and environmental audits and inspections to identify and address hazards
- Implement corrective measures based on findings from audits and investigations
- Conduct routine Job Safety Analyses to assess workplace risks
- Maintain and update Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and related safety manuals
- Oversee preventive maintenance scheduling to enhance workplace safety and compliance
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline, along with 3-5 years of experience in an industrial environment with a focus on EHS. You should also have familiarity with state and federal environmental regulations, valid First Aid, CPR, and AED certification, and preferred safety certifications such as CSP, ASP, or equivalent.
