Responsibilities:
- Design & develop custom automated systems, ensuring they meet performance, budget, and labor constraints.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Applications Engineering, Sales, Electrical Engineers, and Project Managers to develop feasibility plans and define clear project roadmaps.
- Lead mechanical design efforts, from concept to completion, ensuring all components align with project requirements.
- Perform Feasibility Studies & Risk Assessments to validate designs and improve system reliability.
- Integrate systems seamlessly by working closely with shop technicians and engineers across disciplines.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment on technical requirements, timelines, and design considerations.
- Mentor & guide junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or 10 years of relevant industry experience).
- 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical engineering, specializing in machine/system design and integration.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD with a strong understanding of CAD modeling and drafting.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven leadership ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive project success.
- Background in custom automation, system integration, or machine building is highly preferred
