Salary: $120k- 145k/yr. based on experience

Travel: 40%

Sterling Engineering is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist near Lemont, IL for a leading manufacturer of construction and infrastructure technology such as bridge, buildings, and tunnels. This is a great opportunity to work with a client that has great benefits and room for growth!

Job Duties:

• Develop and implement regional procurement strategies using market insights and analytics
• Manage procurement projects and oversee suppliers within the commodity portfolio
• Align sourcing strategies with North and South American business objectives
• Create and execute tactical sourcing plans based on local demand
• Establish strong communication channels with department leads, stakeholders, and regional buyers
• Oversee procurement processes from purchase initiation to material delivery
• Collaborate with Product Sourcing Managers to ensure seamless project execution
• Contribute to regional strategies, including make-or-buy decisions, alongside leadership
• Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and relationship management across North and South America
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (MBA preferred)
• Proven experience in international supply chain leadership, focusing on sourcing and procurement
• Strong analytical skills to translate complex data into actionable strategies
• Expertise in developing procurement strategies aligned with business goals
• Deep understanding of regional and global market trends affecting procurement
• Ability to optimize supplier relationships for long-term value
