What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Manager/Assistant Member Relations Director position at Sterling Golf Management?
Accounting and Payroll Duties:
♦ Implements and ensures adherence to policies and procedures for the Accounting function, including
compliance of all Sterling Golf accounting standards.
♦ Oversees accounting and administrative controls to safeguard the assets of the company by
reducing theft as well as internal fraud.
♦ Coordinates payroll and all payroll processing
♦ Prepares and analyzes various accounting reports such as accounts receivable, accounts payable,
inventory, various general ledger, and monthly financial statements.
♦ Performs daily revenue audits for revenue generating departments (i.e. Golf, Food & Beverage, etc.).
♦ In charge of all member billing and member accounts at Golfcrest Country Club.
♦ Establishes accounting protocols and work flows for the property based on property needs, ensuring
compliance with Sterling Golf accounting standards.
♦ Ensures collection and payment of applicable local, state, and federal taxes
♦ Performs both accounts receivable and accounts payable functions to include but not limited to:
processing invoices, preparing statements, making payments, collections, reconciliation, and record
keeping.
♦ Maintains, reconciles, and audits petty cash, general bank account and cash banks, bank deposits and reconciles
all bank statements. Responsible for all bank deposits to PSB/ Frost Bank and office supply ordering.
Member Relations Duties
Member Activities/Event Programming – Develop, plan, and execute Member events and
activities specific to Golfcrest CC.
Communications – Assist Membership Director maintaining updated website, upcoming events,
event registration and email blasts. Assist in newsletter production and mailing.
Member Management – Contact new members within week of join date, introducing themselves
and their role at the club, as another point of contact for questions.
Children’s Programming – Assist in coordination of children’s programming, inclusive of
Summer Camp.
Problem Solving – Assist members with billing issues, forward and follow up with appropriate
supervisor
♦ Regular and reliable attendance.
♦ Assist in answering main phones lines and performs other duties as required.
