Our leasing agents will be self-starters who can grasp the knowledge of this company and close the incoming leads. These individuals will have no issue reaching out to leads, scheduling tours, and answering questions about the company’s properties and neighborhoods. This role will be a successful fit for candidates who want to gain experience in the multi-family industry and increase their sales experience.
Overview:
The primary job responsibilities include assisting the property owners in the marketing and leasing of properties to prospective residents and tenants, administering the orientation of new tenants, and assisting with performing office management and clerical tasks associated with the same.
The Leasing Agent must ensure that the properties are properly maintained, must effectively market those properties, and must accurately screen prospective tenants.
Must be able to create and preserve positive and favorable relationships with prospects and tenants.
Must be organized and able to multitask on a variety of issues.
Must portray a positive image of the company in all activities.
The position requires very strong “people skills.”
Responsibilities:
- Monitor all leasing inbox and guest card inquiries and respond promptly to them
- Schedule showings and send rental applications to tenants interested in applying for a unit.
- Understand and be able to explain to prospective tenants the leasing process for applying for a unit.
- Perform in-person and virtual property unit showings to prospective tenants.
- Record and update details of showings into Appfolio database swiftly.
- Understand the lease terms and policies to be able to articulate them when on tours with prospects.
- Alert management of any property issues if observed on tours.
- Inform prospective tenants of results.
- Support the reception desk when needed and answer the phones and greet any visitors.
- Accurately record unit inspections after tenants vacate.
- Capture unit marketing information through photos and video.
- Maintaining and storing documentation effectively.
Qualifications:
- Real estate knowledge is preferred but not required.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
- Readily available to work up to 40 hours a week.
- Readily available to work weekends as needed, flexible hours.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, this job will require daily in-person communication.
- Ability to prioritize the prospects and respond to them in a timely manner.
- Comfortable working in a self-directed work environment.
- A team player who is proactive and communicates effectively to others.
- Good time-management skills and strong attention to detail skills are both key competencies.

Disclaimer:
This role is open to begin with part-time working hours if the new hire can begin immediately. However, Sterling Land Company's ideal candidate will be a full-time employee as soon as possible.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating weekends
- Weekends as needed
