Position Overview :
Sterling Medical is looking for a certified and experienced Medical Dosimetrist to join our radiation therapy team at the Long Beach VAMC in Long Beach, CA. The Medical Dosimetrist will work with a collaborative team to design and implement radiation treatment plans for patients, ensuring the accurate delivery of prescribed radiation doses.
Responsibilities :
- Design and develop personalized radiation treatment plans based on physician recommendations at the Long Beach VAMC.
- Perform quality assurance (QA) procedures on treatment plans and radiation therapy equipment.
- Utilize Varian Linear Accelerators and Eclipse treatment planning system for treatment planning and execution.
- Collaborate with medical physicists, radiation oncologists, and other clinical staff to optimize patient care and treatment efficacy.
- Participate in after-hours machine testing and calibration as needed.
