Responsibilities
- Operate milling machines, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining specifications.
- Set up machines for production runs, including selecting appropriate tools and materials.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain product quality.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including cleaning and lubricating machinery.
- Utilize hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as calipers to ensure accurate dimensions.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Mill Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CNC programming and operation is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with various machining techniques including plasma cutting, laser cutting, and assembly processes.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents effectively.
- Experience operating forklifts is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
