This includes budgeting, cost control, financial reporting, and analysis to ensure projects are completed within budget and financial goals are met. The role requires close collaboration with project managers, contractors, and other key stakeholders to ensure the financial health and efficiency of construction operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Budgeting:
- Develop and maintain project budgets and financial plans.
- Ensure that project costs are accurately estimated and adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project cash flows, including incoming payments, expenses, and forecasts.
Cost Control & Monitoring:
- Track and manage construction costs, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Review and approve project invoices and ensure that payments are made according to contractual agreements.
- Identify cost overruns or potential savings and recommend corrective actions.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare regular financial reports (e.g., budget vs. actual, cost forecasts) for project stakeholders.
- Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior management regarding project profitability.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.
Contract Management & Compliance:
- Review and monitor contracts, including subcontracts, to ensure adherence to financial terms.
- Ensure that all financial aspects of the construction project comply with industry regulations and company policies.
- Liaise with legal and procurement teams to resolve financial or contractual issues.
Audit & Compliance:
- Ensure financial compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Assist in internal and external audits and provide necessary documentation and reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
- Previous experience in financial management, construction accounting, or a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial systems and construction project management software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Salary : $120,000 - $135,000
