What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tradesmen - Entry Level - Septic Technician position at Sterling Septic?
Sterling Septic and Plumbing is an established septic and plumbing company providing services in King and Pierce County. We are growing and looking for individuals interested in learning a trade in which they can build a career.

Additionally, you will receive on-the-job training and be paid a great wage while you learn! As you build your skills and become more proficient in the work, you will receive pay raises.
The job provides the opportunity to learn workflow processes, work in different locations, work with a great group of technicians who will mentor you in building your skills, and where you’ll be coming to the rescue of customers who are having septic issues.

Pay Range: $16.75 to $23.00 p/hr , As you gain additional skills and certifications your pay will increase
Benefits:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance with monthly premiums paid at 100% for the employee. Employees are eligible to participate after 90 days of employment.

Qualifications/Experience
- Valid drivers’ license and insurable through company insurance carrier.
- Must pass drug and background screening.
- Knowledge and ability to work with tools used on the job in a safe manner.
- Ready and eager to learn something new every day.
- “Hands on” learning style.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work overtime as needed (this is a frequent occurrence).
Basic Job Duties (not all inclusive)
- Staying at the work site, helping until the job is complete, which may include working into evening hours.
- Assist management with both improvement and maintenance tasks at the shop.
- Keep the jobsite clean during and after work is completed.
- Locate and expose septic system components.
- Call in locates for job site where underground repairs are needed.
- Gather and document information accurately on site. Relay details to the office for follow-up work.
- Educate customers on the function of their septic system.
- Inspect septic systems.
- Complete invoices and bill the customer accordingly.
- Keep the interior and exterior of service vehicles clean and organized.
- Attach job photos to field software for documentation of work completed and needed.
- Restock parts on trucks and report parts used.
- Update operator with time on site, indicating whether billing should change.
- Upkeep material on hand by keeping track of inventory and reporting material on hand to management.
Salary : $17 - $23
