Shift Details:
Shift Length: 12 hours
Shift Timing: 6:45 pm - 7:15 am
3 x 12-hour shifts per week, or
1 x 12-hour shift 3 x 8-hour shifts per week
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend (EOW)
Job Requirements:
Years of Experience: 2 years
Required Certifications:
ACLS
BLS
NIHSS
Key Responsibilities:
Critical Care Expertise: Provide care in a busy, large Level 1 trauma center with experience in critical care devices including CRRT/SLED (NxStage), Impella, ECMO, Balloon Pump, and LVAD.
Education & Mentorship: Teach and mentor nurses on the use of critical care devices, participate in rounding on novice nurses, and support clinical best practices.
Lead Classes: Lead and teach critical care-related class offerings and participate in skills fairs to educate the nursing community.
Just-In-Time Training: Provide remediation training as needed and attend department huddles to share best practices.
Floating: Open to floating to other areas within the hospital as needed.
