What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometrist position at Sterling Vision?
Our Practice Group is looking for a dedicated Doctor of Optometry with strong diagnostic skills and a passion for delivering patient-centered primary eye care. This role allows you to see patients with a wide variety of pathology and refractive needs. Experienced ODs and New Grads welcome.
Sterling Vision (sterlingvision.com) is a group of doctors focused around Optometry, Ophthalmology, Retina, Uveitis, and Plastics. We have five offices located in Eugene, Salem, Thurston, and Junction City.
We believe our Doctors are the heart of our practice. We remove the complexities of practice management– allowing you to spend your time with patients, not paperwork. Plus, you will enjoy the support of a full team of trained optical staff members – including trained optometric technicians, opticians, front office staff, an operations support team, and a management coordination team.
The ideal candidate would be committed to delivering quality patient care, excellent patient experience, and eagerness to learn and develop their clinical skillset. Regular duties will include:
- Perform comprehensive eye exams
- Diagnose and assist in the treatment of ocular disease
- Prescribe corrective lenses
- Provide pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients
- Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients
- Maintain complete patient records using the provided electronic EHR
You must have the following:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree
- Valid state license to practice optometry in Oregon
- Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills
