Reports to : Operations Manager
Job Description : The Production Manager is a critical role within our organization, responsible for scheduling and managing the production process through our Custom Integration and Distribution (CID) center. This includes overseeing the customization and deployment of IT hardware and software solutions, ensuring workflow efficiency, and managing the warehouse management System (WMS) that governs inventory and production flow. The ideal candidate will have experience in IT operations, strong leadership skills, and familiarity with IT supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Production Scheduling & Oversight : Develop and manage production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of customized IT solutions.Oversee the assembly, configuration, and quality testing of IT hardware and software products.Adjust schedules to accommodate changing client priorities or urgent requests.
- Workflow Management : Coordinate resources, including technical staff and inventory, to ensure seamless production flow.Identify and address bottlenecks in the production or configuration process.Work closely with sales, procurement, and logistics teams to align production with business objectives.
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) : Administer and optimize the WMS to track inventory, manage production orders, and ensure accurate reporting.Maintain data integrity between the WMS and other business systems (e.g., Salesforce.com, Certinia, etc.).Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the WMS in collaboration with IT and vendor support.
- Team Leadership : Lead and develop a team of technicians and warehouse staff to meet production goals.Provide training and support on operational processes and best practices.Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Quality Assurance : Ensure all IT products meet client specifications and quality standards before shipment.Implement quality control measures and enforce adherence to best practices.Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce error rates.
- Reporting & Analytics : Generate and analyze reports on production metrics, workflow efficiency, and inventory levels.Present actionable insights to leadership to support strategic decision-making.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence.
