Position Summary:
This position involves day-to-day responsibilities that require independent judgment and discretion contributing to the department’s ongoing success, including:
- Support Senior Account Executive and Account Executive in maintaining a high-level retention on an existing book of business
- Support in marketing new and renewal business which may entail completing applications in EPIC, obtaining loss runs from carriers, preparing loss analysis, obtaining updated information from insureds/prospects and submitting to insurers (online & via email) and preparing proposal documents.
- Reviewing quotes received to ensure all coverage needs are addressed; making changes as needed
- Review existing policies and endorsements, request changes to carrier as needed
- Maintain integrity of system activities and client detail
- Respond to clients with coverage inquiries
- Adherence, compliance and full utilization of all technology tools (i.e. EPIC, Outlook, etc.)
- Work collaboratively with producers, clients and SterlingRisk account team to service existing and new accounts
- Meet service delivery standards and perform essential functions to the quality and services standards developed by SterlingRisk

Essential Functions & Basic Duties:

- Technical support to Senior Account Executive and Account Executive, Producer and client
- Mentoring, training and directing if needed
- Act as a point of contact to resolve client billing issues
- Collaborate with Senior Account Executive and Account Executive on applications to eligible and appropriate carriers
- Collect, prepare & disseminate required information for renewal strategy meeting
- Track all open items with clients and ensure the team meets deadlines and deliverables
- Identify exposure to loss and work collaboratively with Senior Account Executive and Account Executive to recommend appropriate coverage
- Analyze request and consider variables for cancellations; takes appropriate action to save account
- Collaborate with the Producer, Senior Account Executive, Account Executives and management
- Analyze and review coverage forms, quotes and binders
- Prepare market presentations/proposals for clients
- Manage and follow up to ensure timely receipt of quotes and binders from the marketplace
- Participate in team strategy meetings & take notes
- Prepare summaries of insurance
- Process required supplemental applications and appropriate excess lines forms
- Collaborate with Senior Account Executive & Account Executive to coordinate renewal or new account billing and financing
- Client contact and insurance company interaction/negotiation as needed
- Prepare premium allocations for clients as needed
- Attend prospect and client meetings as required
- Develop and maintain strong market relationships
- Any other duties as requested by management

- Strong written and oral communication

- Knowledge of insurance rating and underwriting procedures
- Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word EPIC, etc.
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment

Education and Work Experience:
- College Degree with a minimum of two years’ experience; or
- A minimum of five years insurance experience preferred.
- Property & Casualty License
- Experience with EPIC preferred

The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000 – $80,000 annually, plus benefits, and can vary based on location.
