Landscape & Grounds Manager

The Landscape / Grounds Manager will oversee the maintenance and management of our potato farm's outdoor areas and grounds. As the Landscape / Grounds Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the aesthetic appeal, safety, and functionality of our farm's outdoor spaces for the Sacramento, Halifax, Lykens Valley Grain and Keystone Potato Products facilities.

• Lead and supervise a team of groundskeepers and laborers in daily tasks such as mowing, weeding, pruning, and watering to maintain the appearance and health of all properties.
• Develop and implement landscape design plans to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the locations while taking into account practical considerations such as soil quality, drainage, and irrigation needs.
• Select appropriate plant species and materials for landscaping projects, considering local climate conditions and environmental sustainability.
• Monitor outdoor areas for signs of pests, diseases, and weed infestations, and implement appropriate control measures to protect landscape plants.
• Coordinate with farm management and agronomists to develop integrated pest management (IPM) strategies that minimize the use of chemical pesticides.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of landscape and groundskeeping equipment, ensuring that tools and machinery are in good working condition and properly used by staff.
• Procure necessary supplies, equipment, and materials for landscaping and grounds maintenance activities while adhering to budgetary constraints.
• Enforce safety protocols and best practices to ensure the well-being of employees and visitors in outdoor areas.
• Stay informed about relevant regulations and industry standards related to landscaping, pesticide use, and environmental stewardship, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
• Maintain accurate records of landscaping activities, including planting schedules, maintenance tasks, and pesticide applications.
• Generate regular reports on groundskeeping activities, budget expenditures, and project timelines for farm management.
• Oversee snow and ice removal from all locations to ensure safety for all employees and visitors.
• Other duties as assigned

Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
