Job title Part time Administrative Assistant
Steve's Shoe & Pedorthic Center is seeking a reliable and self-motivated part time Administrative Assistant to keep this small facility running smoothly. Steve's Shoe & Pedorthic Center is located in North Kingstown and has been making custom orthotics and shoe modifications for over 30 years.
There are three main components to the job - customer service, bookkeeping, and general office help. The list of duties below is not comprehensive and other duties may be assigned as needed.
Customer Service Duties:
- Answer the phone
- Make appointments
- Call and email customers
- Answer customer questions
- Establish new customers/ maintain customer records
Bookkeeping Duties:
- Balance and maintain checkbook
- Enter and pay bills
- Create invoices
- Process credit cards, use cash register and apply payments to invoices
- Create purchase orders
- Prepare/ maintain Excel reports
Office Duties:
- Receive and process packages
- Prepare packages for returns
- Place orders for supplies and merchandise by phone and by business to business websites
- Keep track of pending orders
- Maintain referrals list
- File
- Establish new customers on online communication portal
- Maintain Social Media Accounts
- Keep work area tidy
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong communication and organizational skills
Customer Service experience preferred
Friendly attitude
Ability to multitask
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 18 per week
