Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services and repairs. Your expertise in automotive service and repair will help guide customers through their vehicle needs while ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs.
- Provide accurate estimates for services including oil changes, shocks and struts, and other repairs.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding the status of their vehicles and any necessary repairs.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to explain technical issues to customers in an understandable manner.
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services.
- Maintain records of services performed and manage customer follow-up communications.
- Assist in automotive sales by promoting additional services or products that may benefit the customer’s vehicle.
- Ensure a clean and organized service area to enhance customer experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive service or repair is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand vehicle systems and components.
- Familiarity with auto estimating practices and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers.
- Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Previous experience in automotive sales is a plus but not required.
- A valid driver’s license is necessary for this position.
