Industrial Equipment Specialist
We're seeking an experienced Industrial Equipment Specialist to join our team at STEVEN CHARLES in Pembroke, NC. As an Industrial Equipment Specialist, you will identify and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and refrigeration defects, and coordinate and prioritize the daily workload for the maintenance shift team. You will effectively complete PMs as scheduled to eliminate unplanned downtime and participate in RCA on equipment and process failures to provide insight into failure and suggest corrective actions.
You will mentor junior technicians on maintenance practices and technical disciplines needed to be successful as a technician. You will work well in a team environment and understand that the team is stronger when working together rather than individually. You will utilize a continuous improvement mindset and tools to actively participate in identifying and correcting opportunities, improving processes, and creating Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
The ideal candidate will have 15 years of industrial mechanical experience or a two-year technical degree. You must be able to read, write, and speak English, and preferred if you can read, write, and speak Spanish. You must successfully complete HACCP Certification and have a Forklift License. You will also need fundamental knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic schematics, and mechanical drawings to solve problems at the component level on all assigned equipment.
