We are looking for individuals who are interested in operating manufacturing equipment to work as Mixers at our Pembroke, NC Facility. We have multiple openings in both shifts. 2nd shift enjoys a $1.50 shift differential.
What Do Mixers Do?
The Mixing position is responsible for blending the prescribed ingredients required to provide a consistent quality, following the formulas, build sheets and procedures established by the company without deviation. This position is also responsible for ensuring that all recipes follow the material usage variance allowed for each Mix. Ensure that all products are produced safely, efficiently and meet all quality standards as set forth by the company.
What You Bring to the Team
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in a Food Manufacturing environment; bakery experience preferred.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to communicate in English and write correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to leads, supervisors and R&D
- Flexibility to work various hours and shifts.
- Good mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
