- Design and develop innovative and advanced software and machine controls programs, including:
- Electrical and Control system design
- PLC programming
- Design/programming of Human Machine Interfaces (HMI)
- Robotic Programming
- Troubleshooting of electrical, PLC, and HMI systems
- Industrial Machine Vision Systems
- Evaluate and specify hardware and software components such as robots, grippers, load cells, motion controllers, sensors, vision systems and lasers to complete a variety of required tasks.
- Work quickly and diligently to troubleshot and solve machine programming challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage assigned projects to maintain on-time and on-budget machine deliveries.
- Assist Mechanical Engineering team with development and cross-over automation technologies, including robotics, pneumatics, servo motion systems and vision systems.
- Support machine building process from assembly, de-bug and acceptance testing and through potential on-site customer installations and start-up support and customer training.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's Degree in electrical or computer engineering related field required.
- 2 years electrical engineering experience.
- Experience in Allen Bradley PLC's, HMI's, Servo control, electrical design, and industrial machine vision systems.
- Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, LabView, MatLab, microcontrollers or robotic programming a plus.
- Strong decision making and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate with a project team.
- Ability and willingness to travel to support projects, up to 10%.
