Electrical Controls Engineers at SDC are collaborative, detail-oriented individuals that are responsible for developing and programming complete solutions for automated equipment according to customer and internal specifications. We are looking to add individuals with PLC, HMI, Robotics and Vision programming and machine design experience.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop innovative and advanced software and machine controls programs, including:
• Electrical and Control system design
• PLC programming
• Design/programming of Human Machine Interfaces (HMI)
• Robotic Programming
• Troubleshooting of electrical, PLC, and HMI systems
• Industrial Machine Vision Systems
• Evaluate and specify hardware and software components such as robots, grippers, load cells, motion controllers, sensors, vision systems and lasers to complete a variety of required tasks.
• Work quickly and diligently to troubleshot and solve machine programming challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage assigned projects to maintain on-time and on-budget machine deliveries.
• Assist Mechanical Engineering team with development and cross-over automation technologies, including robotics, pneumatics, servo motion systems and vision systems.
• Support machine building process from assembly, de-bug and acceptance testing and through potential on-site customer installations and start-up support and customer training.
  
  

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's Degree in electrical or computer engineering related field required.
• 2 years electrical engineering experience.
• Experience in Allen Bradley PLC's, HMI's, Servo control, electrical design, and industrial machine vision systems.
• Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, LabView, MatLab, microcontrollers or robotic programming a plus.
• Strong decision making and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate with a project team.
• Ability and willingness to travel to support projects, up to 10%.
