Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced full-charge bookkeeper to help manage our financial records and ensure accuracy in all accounting processes. We also help some of our small clients with their bookkeeping needs.The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health of our organization and requires a proactive individual who can work independently while contributing to the overall success of the team.
Duties
- Manage all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Utilize accounting software, such as QuickBooks, and Sage, for daily transactions and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) in all financial reporting.
- Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts to support financial planning.
- Maintain organized records of all financial transactions and documentation.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as needed.
- Support corporate accounting functions as required, including journal entries and adjustments.
- Monitor cash flow to ensure adequate funds are available for operational needs.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role in public accounting or corporate accounting settings.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software, particularly QuickBooks.
- Familiarity with financial software applications for efficient record keeping.
- Solid understanding of debits, credits, and general ledger operations.
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliation processes is essential.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are required.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and external partners.
