Oversee the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely dispatch of goods; manage staff; maintenance of building and grounds.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Accomplish warehouse operations human resources objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicate job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising
- Prepares shipping documents
- Maintains detailed records of all outgoing and incoming shipments
- Arranges for adjustments if merchandise is lost or damaged
- Achieve warehouse operational objectives by contributing warehouse operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans, implementing productivity, quality and customer service standards; resolving problems
- Meets with Internal Sales Manager to maintain equipment, accessory, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts and supplies; verifying receipt
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures
- Ensure security of building, stock, and company assets
- Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management and shipping
- Develop warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems; evaluating and recommending new equipment
- Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
- Building & Grounds Maintenance
- Act as Backup Delivery Driver when needed
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Technical, human, and conceptual management skills
Shipping and Receiving Management workflows and procedures experience
Familiarization with OSHA rules and regulations
Valid driver's license
Knowledge of computerized inventory/location systems
Experience with UPS order processing
Experience with weight packaging processes
Effective computer skills for all software provided
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership skills
Forklift Experience, Certifications preferred
Ability to Drive a 20-foot Box Truck
Experience in Building and Grounds Maintenance
