We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Parts Wholesale Outside Sales Representative to aggressively grow our wholesale parts business. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with independent repair facilities, body shops, and other wholesale parts customers within a designated territory. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of automotive parts, excellent sales and negotiation skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets. Above average industry pay. Hourly plus commissions, starting at $17 per hour, veh allowance and commission based on wholesale gross profit increase over prior year.
Responsibilities:
- Sales Generation: Proactively identify and prospect new wholesale parts customers within the assigned territory through cold calling, networking, referrals, and other lead generation methods.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing wholesale accounts, acting as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
- Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of our extensive inventory of OEM parts, including pricing, availability, and application.
- Sales Presentations: Effectively present and promote our parts offerings, highlighting their value proposition and benefits to potential and existing customers.
- Order Processing: Accurately and efficiently process parts orders, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Problem Solving: Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and handle complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs within the territory.
- Sales Reporting: Track sales activities, prepare regular reports on sales performance, and provide accurate sales forecasts.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the internal parts team, service department, and management to ensure seamless customer service and achieve sales goals.
- Territory Management: Effectively manage and prioritize sales activities within the assigned territory to maximize sales opportunities and efficiency.
- Achieve Sales Targets: Meet or exceed established monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in outside sales, preferably within the automotive parts wholesale industry.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts, systems, and terminology (both OEM and aftermarket).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using CRM software, parts electronic leads and other sales tools.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
