What are the responsibilities and job description for the Doctoral Student - Materials Modeling with AI position at Stevens Institute of Technology?
Do you want to help design the next generation of materials used for batteries, space exploration or water purification? Are you interested in getting a PhD? A position is available in Prof. Jacob Gissinger's group at Stevens Institute of Technology (nanocipher.org), for Fall 2025. The research will involve computational design of polymeric systems, such as polymer electrolytes, or high-performance polymers and composites for use in extreme environments.
Prerequisites
Applicant must not have a PhD. Applicant must hold a bachelor's degree before Fall 2025. American citizenship required for most projects.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in materials science, chemical engineering or related fields
- Programming skills in languages such as Python
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary and collaborative environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Background in computational materials science, machine learning and polymer engineering preferred
