- Reviews special education IEPs for completeness and accuracy.
- Archives special education paperwork and prepares the paperwork for distribution to district staff, students and parents/guardians.
- Prepares and maintains classlists, case manager information and related services lists for the assigned schools.
- Prepares paperwork to assure accuracy for state reporting deadlines.
- Maintains pertinent data in the special education and student information systems
- Completes transportation requests to send to the Transportation Department updates information about transportation in the student management system.
- Runs reports in the special education data management system to make sure information is accurate and reported timely.
- Monitors the process of transfers in and out of the district for students with disabilities.
- Uploads health documents and releases of information in the student management system.
- Maintains confidentiality in verbal, written, and electronic communication.
- Communicates with various special education staff on paperwork and caseload needs.
- Performs all other additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education:
- High School Diploma
Experience:
- Minimum of one year of office assistant experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in computer skills typical in an office environment
- Experience working with electronic forms of communication
- Experience operating modern office machines, including latest technology (i.e., network printers, comuters, fax machines, etc.)
Education:
- Associates Degree
- Three years of office assistant experience
- Experience working in a public school system in Wisconsin
- Competence with Infinite Campus, GoIDEA and Google Suite
- Background knowledge of Individualized Education Program paperwork
