Description
Two English Language Arts (ELA) teachers are needed at Menomonie Middle School. One position is in 7th grade and one position is in 8th grade. These positions are to begin August 19, 2025.
The successful candidates will display knowledge and application of the Wisconsin Teaching Standards, Wisconsin’s Academic Standards for English Language Arts, and the PLC and RtI processes. Candidates must possess a passion for high-quality work within all student populations, have the ability to teach ELA concepts to both advanced and challenged middle school students and exhibit positive communication with students and families.
Responsibilities include engaging students in conceptual thinking in ELA with applications to the real world, using data to adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests, collaborating with colleagues to improve the learning of all students, and maintaining a safe, respectful classroom environment. Experience teaching middle school students is preferred. Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) license 1300 (English) or other applicable license to teach 7th and/or 8th grade English Language Arts is required. Teaching assignments will depend on the candidate’s skills and experience, matching student needs with department member strengths. The positions will remain open until filled with first review of applications to occur on February 21, 2025. EOE.
