Description
The Human Resource Specialist is responsible for assisting in performing a wide variety of technical payroll and some Human Resource duties. This includes preparing, processing, maintaining and ensuring accuracy of a variety of payroll and benefit information, forms, records and reports to ensure employees are paid in an accurate and timely manner. The Human Resource Specialist will report directly to the Business Manager and District Administrator, and will be tasked with managing District-level projects and providing support for the Business Manager and District Administrator.
This is a full-time position, scheduled Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week. Wage commensurate with experience. This is a health and dental benefits eligible position.
FLSA Status: Exempt
A start date on or about May 1, 2025 is preferred.
Two (2) or more letters of recommendation are requested.

Qualifications
Training and Experience Requested and Required:
- High School diploma required
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Human Resources or equivalent training and education beyond high school preferred.
- Three to five years of payroll or HR experience desired.
- Strong organizational, computer, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of software currently used in the District, such as Skyward, is desired though not required.
- Knowledge of common professional software, such as Microsoft Word and Excel and, Google Docs and Sheets is required.
- Ability to assume responsibility, display initiative, work independently, multi-task efficiently, and exercise good judgment is required.
- Knowledge of proper taxation of employee and employer paid benefits is desired though not required.
