Essential Job Functions:
1. Remove leaves, snow and ice from entrance and sidewalks
2. Mow grass, remove weeds and trim shrubs
3. Pick up trash from sidewalks, lot areas and campus
4. Make daily safety inspections of playgrounds
5. Inspect maintenance equipment and ensure maintenance tools are in safe operating condition.
6. Maintain organization of the maintenance shop & tool room
1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid Wisconsin driver’s license.
3. Ability to work with students, staff and the public with courtesy and tact.
4. Knowledge of, and strict adherence to safe work practices associated with this position at all times.
5. Ability to perform manual labor under adverse weather conditions.
6. Ability to operate and control motor vehicles such as truck, bobcat, weed wacker and riding lawnmower.
7. Must be able to work with and be exposed to industrial strength chemicals.
8. Ability to understand and effectively carry out both oral and written instructions.
9. Ability to climb ladders up to 10 feet and lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
