Description
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Counselors are the primary caregivers for each camper.
- Responsible for planning, teaching, coordinating, and carrying out activities and guiding campers in their personal growth and daily living skills.
- Assists in the direction, supervision, and organization of campers in their camper group within activities and throughout the camp in order to meet the intended camper outcomes.
- Participates in the development and implementation of program activities for campers within the mission and outcomes.
- Maintains high standards of health and safety in all activities for campers and staff.
- Be a role model to campers and staff in your attitude and behavior.
- Represents the camp when interacting with parents or community members.
- Provides supervision for campers while campers are transported to and from camp or during scheduled field trips off camp property.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
HOURLY WAGE:
$13.00 - $15.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications
WHAT IT TAKES:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Physical requirements could include endurance (prolonged standing, some bending, stooping, walking long distances, hiking, climbing, and stretching), ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and daily exposure to the sun, heat, and other outdoor elements.
- Must be able to obtain or become certified in First Aid/CPR.
- Lifeguard certification helpful but not required.
- Experience working with children.
- Ability to interact with all age levels.
- Childcare classes preferred but not necessary.
- Returning staff must meet one additional requirement:
- 2-4 education credits based upon a post-secondary transcript review, OR
- Completion of a 15-hour self-paced School Age Assistant Child Care Worker course by May 23, 2025. Staff will receive a $75 incentive in June for satisfactory completion.
