Event Staff/Bartender

Krausening Entertainment Group is looking for a Bartender/Event Staff for our Opera House Annex facility located in downtown Stevens Point. As a historic event venue, we are looking for high caliber individuals to join our team. Bartenders work directly with customers by mixing and serving drink orders. Their responsibilities include verifying age requirements, knowing alcohol pairing and tastes, knowing how to make traditional and classy drinks, processing payments, managing inventory and cleaning bar supplies. Event staff assists in the logistical management of all events. Their primary responsibilities include preparing venues and setting up furniture, sets, and equipment for events, working as ushers, and operating cash registers. This individual will be a skilled communicator with excellent problem-solving, observation, and interpersonal skills.

Bartender Responsibilities:

• Provides a pleasant drinking experience to customers.
• Serves drinks while maintaining a clean and sanitary bar area.
• Attention to detail and presentation of each order.
• Prepares and maintains ingredients by following recipes.
• Adheres to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures, and maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all beverage items.
• Contributes to daily, holiday, and theme drink menus in collaboration with your supervisor
• Ensures smooth operation of bar services during absence of supervisor
• Completes cleaning according to daily and weekly schedules, including dishwashing as needed
• Assists with orienting new employees to their work area
• Listens to customer complaints and suggestions and resolves complaints

Bartender Requirements:

• High school diploma.
• Bartending experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of mixology
• Understanding of cash handling procedures..
• Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in ability to safely and effectively operate standard beverage service equipment
• Customer service experience
• Self-motivated High energy Level individual
• Multi-tasking in a fast pace environment
• Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to walk, stand, and occasionally carry heavy items in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
