Job Title: Substitute Teacher
Location: Lower Division campus (Carmel)
Stevenson School is currently seeking substitute teachers for the Lower Division at the Carmel campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction, managing the classroom environment, and promoting student learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
Duties and responsibilities
Substitute teacher will teach all scheduled classes and prepare a written summary of work completed for the classroom teacher.
Follows the teacher’s written lesson plans and assumes all duties and responsibilities of the absent teacher.
Consults with the dean of lower division and/o dean of student life to resolve questions and/or concerns.
Develop and maintain a high standard and positive learning environment, work cooperatively with parents and staff and make the absent teacher aware of special situations.Display excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
Professional experience relevant to working with K-8 students.
Must successfully pass a background check
Absent an allowable exemption, must be vaccinated against COVID
