Position Overview:
The Junior Investment Analyst will work as an integral member of the Financial Advisor team, supporting investment research initiatives and portfolio management activities. This role involves analyzing financial data, conducting market research, and utilizing analytical tools including AI-driven platforms to evaluate securities and monitor market trends. Working closely with Financial Advisors, this position assists in client portfolio construction, performance analysis, and investment presentations while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and investment policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Analysis & Support
· Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance, making data-driven recommendations
· Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets to identify to support strategic decision making and provide insights on market trends portfolio performance, and operational efficiency
· Assist in daily portfolio management including trades, rebalancing, and performance tracking, ensuring all actions are in line with the investment strategy and compliance requirements.
· Prepare investment reports, white papers, and presentation materials
· Collaborate with the team on asset allocation, financial modeling, and risk assessment.
Technology & Innovation
· Utilize AI-driven tools (e.g., LLMs) to enhance investment research and decision-making
· Streamline investment operations by identifying and implementing process improvements
· Collaborate with technology teams to optimize investment systems to support growth and operational needs
· Identify and implement process improvements for operational efficiency
· Lead or participate in special projects aimed at enhancing our investment offerings or operational capabilities, such as new software implementation or process re-engineering
Compliance & Client Service
· Monitor investment activities to ensure adherence to regulatory standards, internal policies, and risk management protocols
· Prepare and review detailed client reports on portfolio performance, asset allocation, and investment activities ensuring clarity, accuracy, and timeliness in all communications
· Provide support for client meetings and presentations
· Collaborate with Financial Advisors, Portfolio Managers, and other team members to enhance service delivery and client experience
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related field or equivalent work experience
· One to three years of experience in investment operations, financial analysis, or a related field within an RIA, asset management firm
· Active FINRA Series 7 and 66 or 63/65 licenses required
· Strong interest in applying AI and machine learning to financial research
· Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
· Highly detail-oriented with superior organizational skills
· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
· Effective written and verbal communication skills
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
