WHAT WE NEED
This role will be a hybrid model and is expected to work in our Austin office 3 days per week.
Our Interiors studio is seeking a talented Interiors Project Manager to take on full responsibility for project profitability, schedule, and budget. We need a well-rounded Project Manager who gets excited about creating healthy, uplifting environments and has a keen ability to manage projects from start to finish. In short, we want an Interiors Project Manager as remarkable as we are. We want someone who understands how to plan a project and keep the client happy. We need someone who can manage consultants and inspire internal teams. We want a PM who attacks each new challenge with the knowledge that last weeks answer doesnt fit this weeks question; a true project team leader who is always seeking to learn more and apply what theyve learned to make those around them better.
WHAT YOULL DO .
Youll join the Interiors studio, which focuses on producing functionally beautiful spaces for clients by combining creativity and technical knowledge. Depending on the day, your responsibilities will include:
- Consult with clients to determine function and spatial requirements, and prepares information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time.
- Serve as a primary client liaison responsible to complete projects to satisfy the clients goals.
- Implement all phases of a design project which includes contracts, budgeting, scheduling, planning, design, documentation, and construction (including the selection and specification of furniture).
- Inspire, plan, organize, and manage the work of project teams.
- Foster and maintain a collaborative professional working relationship across teams.
- Estimate fees, determine scope of work, and prepare proposals and contracts as needed.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with consultants, contractors, and agencies.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in interior design or architecture from an accredited program.
- 6-10 years of professional experience, inclusive of at least 2 years of project management experience in Interiors projects.
- Advanced knowledge of furniture types, vendors, fixtures and equipment, architectural/interior finishes, lighting, art signage, color, and materials to carryout design intent.
- Proficient in Revit required.
- Proven ability to effectively prioritize activities and provide high quality service to clients.
- Strong leadership, organization, communication, and interpersonal management skills.
- Experience negotiating project scope and fees and ability to keep projects on track within deadlines, budget, and scope.
- Knowledge of local building codes and standards.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of parametric modeling (Grasshopper, Dynamo) a plus.
- Knowledge of Rhino a plus.
