LET’S DO THIS…

You’re a proven Interiors leader several years into your career and passionate about enhancing people's lives in the places they gather. You’re dedicated to delivering projects on time and budget and are hungry to help create holistic interiors solutions that capture the core of a client’s identity. You have a lot to teach and are looking for a group eager to learn. You’ve come to the right place; at STG Design, we can make that happen.

WHAT WE NEED…

This role will be a hybrid model and is expected to work in our Austin office 3 days per week.

Our Interiors studio is seeking a talented Interiors Project Manager to take on full responsibility for project profitability, schedule, and budget. We need a well-rounded Project Manager who gets excited about creating healthy, uplifting environments and has a keen ability to manage projects from start to finish. In short, we want an Interiors Project Manager as remarkable as we are. We want someone who understands how to plan a project and keep the client happy. We need someone who can manage consultants and inspire internal teams. We want a PM who attacks each new challenge with the knowledge that last week’s answer doesn’t fit this week’s question; a true project team leader who is always seeking to learn more and apply what they’ve learned to make those around them better.

You’ll join the Interiors studio, which focuses on producing functionally beautiful spaces for clients by combining creativity and technical knowledge. Depending on the day, your responsibilities will include:

  • Foster and maintain a collaborative professional working relationship across teams.
  • Estimate fees, determine scope of work, and prepare proposals and contracts as needed.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with consultants, contractors, and agencies.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS…

  • Bachelor's degree in interior design or architecture from an accredited program.
  • 6-10 years of professional experience, inclusive of at least 2 years of project management experience in Interiors projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of furniture types, vendors, fixtures and equipment, architectural/interior finishes, lighting, art signage, color, and materials to carryout design intent.
  • Proficient in Revit required.
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize activities and provide high quality service to clients.
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication, and interpersonal management skills.
  • Experience negotiating project scope and fees and ability to keep projects on track within deadlines, budget, and scope.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and standards.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS…

  • Knowledge of parametric modeling (Grasshopper, Dynamo) a plus.
  • Knowledge of Rhino a plus.

WHAT WE EXPECT…

We value people who want to immerse themselves in creativity, collaboration, being at the forefront of innovation, and approach design inquisitively and thoughtfully. We are looking for people who are:

  • Interesting – We want people who can provide unique insight into our clients’ problems and contribute to their solutions in unexpected ways.
  • Great communicators – if you can’t spread your message, you can’t deliver results.
  • Self-starters – We want people who don’t wait for direction; they find the next task and get started.
  • Ready learners – We want people who are excited to add another tool to their repertoire.
  • Adaptable – We look for people who find the right context and right solution for the task at hand.
  • Tech savvy – Revit, Adobe CC, and Bluebeam are all musts.
