Project Manager | Multi-Family | Architecture

STG Design
Phoenix, AZ Full Time
POSTED ON 1/3/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 3/2/2025

LET’S DO THIS…

You’re a proven leader several years into your career and are looking for a more challenging opportunity. You’re dedicated to delivering projects on time and within budget and are hungry for some exciting complex projects to manage. You have a lot to teach and are looking for a group eager to learn. You’ve come to the right place; at STG Design, we can make that happen.

WHAT WE NEED…

This role will be a hybrid model and is expected to work in our Phoenix office 3 days per week.

Our architecture studio in Phoenix is seeking an experienced Project Manager to take on full responsibility for project profitability, schedule, and budget. We need a well-rounded Project Manager with a keen ability to manage client interactions and expectations, to oversee the projection of workload and flow and all consultant coordination, and to provide critical problem-solving for both the technical and design facets of each project. In short, we want a Project Manager as remarkable as we are. We want someone who understands how to plan a project and keep the client happy. We want a PM who attacks each new challenge with the knowledge that last week’s answer doesn’t fit this week’s question; a true project team leader who is always seeking to learn more and apply what they’ve learned to make those around them better.

Come be a part of a firm that contributes to the civic impact and diverse patterns of community life through award-winning architecture and interior design. We want to build our future with dynamic, diverse, and cutting-edge professionals like you.

WHAT YOU’LL DO….

You’ll join the architecture studio, which focuses on producing functionally beautiful spaces for clients by combining creativity and technical knowledge. Depending on the day, your responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as a primary client liaison responsible for completing projects to satisfy the client’s goals.
  • Collaborate on ideas for multifamily architectural amenities to help our clients stand out.
  • Manage work plans, schedules, programs, communication, and project team assignments.
  • Estimate fees, determine the scope of work, and prepare proposals and contracts.
  • Assist staff in the development of industry knowledge and architectural skills; especially in the modular and multifamily sectors.
  • Research, establish, and adhere to city/county agency requirements. Familiarity with Arizona and/or Texas jurisdictions is preferred.
  • Oversee and ensure contract document submittals for agency review.
  • Direct the preparation and issuance of bid documents.
  • Oversee construction contract administration and attend construction meetings as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS…

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture from a 5-year accredited school/program. Or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited graduate school/program.
  • 6 years of professional experience, inclusive of at least 2 years of project management experience with multifamily buildings.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of architectural principles/practices.
  • Experience leading complex projects and multi-project accounts a must.
  • Proven ability to meet multiple concurrent deadlines and lead a team to complete work within fee and schedule budgets.
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication, and interpersonal management skills.
  • Commitment to a collaborative design process.
  • Experience negotiating project scope and fees.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and standards.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS…

  • Registered Architect (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Revit and knowledge of AutoCAD preferred.
  • Knowledge of parametric modeling (Grasshopper, Dynamo) a plus.
  • Knowledge of Rhino a plus.
  • Technology forward thinking and top-notch graphics skills a plus.

WHAT WE EXPECT…

We value people who want to immerse themselves in creativity, collaboration, being at the forefront of innovation, and approach design inquisitively and thoughtfully. We are looking for people who are:

  • Interesting – We want people that can provide unique insight into our clients’ problems and contribute to their solutions in unexpected ways.
  • Great communicators – if you can’t spread your message, you can’t deliver results.
  • Self-starters – We want people who don’t wait for direction; they find the next task and get started.
  • Ready learners – We want people who are excited to add another tool to their repertoire.
  • Adaptable – We look for people who find the right context and right solution for the task at hand.
  • Tech savvy – While you won’t be in Revit very often, we think it’s helpful for our PMs to know the program.

WHAT’S NEXT…

If you’re excited, we’re excited! Please complete the online web form for further consideration. We’ll be in touch soon with the next steps.
