We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Barista/Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced café environment. As a Barista/Cashier, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and maintaining the café's standards.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the POS system for order processing and cash handling accurately.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the café area.
- Assist customers with their selections, providing recommendations and answering questions about menu items.
- Maintain inventory levels of food and beverage supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Uphold health and safety regulations in food preparation and service areas.
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems; experience with Aloha POS is a plus.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards customers and team members.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
