Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Technician I is responsible for executing all processes in production while strictly adhering to cGMP, environmental health and safety guidelines and any other related regulations which could apply. This position sets up, adjusts, operates, and repairs machinery in support of the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs production support duties that adhere to production schedule, quality standards, and project specifications.
- Reviews blueprints, schematics, or other drawings/documentation to determine appropriate machine use; may check materials for compliance.
- May clean the workspace or perform routine maintenance after each production run.
- Support for the Manufacturing areas
- Under the general direction of the lead technician and the overall direction of the Manger, Service manufacturing equipment
- Conduct documentation on machine maintenance.
- Participate in Quality Working Teams and Continuous Improvement Teams
- Conduct visual inspection of manufacturing equipment and changeovers.
- Troubleshoots any equipment/process problems and resolves as quickly as possible.
- Monitor equipment for proper utilization.
- Employees may be required to manage hazardous waste in compliance with company procedures & State/Federal/Local hazardous waste regulations. Duties may include identifying, handling, generating, accumulating, storing, labeling, and on-site transporting of hazardous wastes.
- Basic Computer Skills
- May perform safety and cGMP inspections or observations.
- Ensure compliance with SOP/cGMP and cGMP requirements.
- May assist in training new employees.
- Expected to fully participate in both departmental projects and any quality working teams which may be applicable.

Technical Skills & Abilities:
- Must be able to read and follow detailed written instructions and have good verbal/written communication skills.
- Requires basic electronic theory.
- Ability to manipulate controls, disassemble/assemble equipment using a variety of hand tools.
- Ability to read and understand equipment manuals.
- Stand/walk for majority of shift and push/pull/lift large containers weighing up to 50 pounds using hand dollies, pallet jacks, or other mechanical aids as necessary.
- The ideal candidate is flexible and adaptable. You are collaborative and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. This position is for second shift training, which may be done on the first shift then transferred to second shift.
- Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience reading and interpreting schematic diagrams, mechanical drawings, and interconnect drawings preferred.
Requirements:
- Must be over 21 years of age.
- Prolonged periods of standing, sitting at a desk, and/or working on a computer.
- Be able to stand, bend, kneel, squat, and twist for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift 40 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
- Must be able to stand, sit for prolonged periods of time, bend, kneel, squat, and twist.

- This role operates in a cannabis manufacturing setting where exposure to fine plant particles, such as dust from grinding or trimming, is common. The company provides all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain safety and comfort while working in this environment
