What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant/Front Desk Coordinator position at Still Waters Home Health Agency?
We are looking for a highly motivated, professional candidate for our corporate office to join our small, fast growing Medicare Certified Home Health Care agency located in Cordova TN , Shelby County.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer and Direct Incoming Calls:
- Answer all incoming calls promptly and professionally and forward calls to the appropriate extensions or voice mail as needed to ensure effective communication between callers and the relevant departments.
- Visitor Management:
- Greet and welcome visitors in a courteous and professional manner and Direct visitors to the appropriate offices or departments.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Coordinate with office staff, field RNs, therapists, and physicians to ensure effective communication and compliance with the Plan of Care (POC).
- Assist in scheduling meetings and appointments as required.
- Provide information and updates to relevant personnel.
- Hospital List Management and Orders Manager Dashboard :
- Update the hospital list daily by contacting all inpatient facilities where active patients are currently admitted.
- Verify admission dates and status reports on a daily basis to ensure accurate and current information.
- Oversee the Orders Manager Dashboard, including managing care plans and physician orders.
- Fax orders to the respective doctors, print them as needed, and follow up on them in accordance with agency guidelines.
- Monitor and ensure timely processing and completion of all orders.
Qualifications:
Must be high school graduate, medical assistants preferred, have excellent communication and organizational skills and have the ability to work well with others in a diverse and active environment. The ability to work in a cooperative and accepting manner with others is essential. Computer knowledge is a must and good understanding of the medical terminologies and EMR charting.
