Description
This part-time role oversees the church's Student Ministry program, grades 6-12. The Student Ministry exists to help students grow deeper in discipleship, worship, and mission. This role can work flexibly with people employed full-time in an additional weekday job. (Additional hours, or even full-time employment, may be possible for those who demonstrate additional exceptional skillsets in other needed areas, including adult discipleship, small groups, management/business, or contemporary worship leadership.)
Requirements
Track record of a strong, evident relationship with Jesus Christ
Previous experience with student ministries as participant, volunteer, or director
Passion to work with students and adults in communicating biblical truth and fostering a healthy missional community for students to grow in faith
All Stillwater staff are expected to become fully participating members of Stillwater Church
Responsibilities
Organize and help to lead Sunday morning, Sunday afternoon, and Wednesday evening ministry events.
Organize and help to lead other special seasonal events and trips
Recruit, mentor, and organize volunteer leadership team
About this Ministry Setting
Stillwater Church is affiliated with the Global Methodist Church, which aligns strongly with biblical teachings along with a warm, grace-fueled, missional approach. Candidates from other denominational backgrounds may apply. Stillwater's greatest strength lies in its community-oriented ministry programs, such as our extensive Food Pantry and school feeding program. Sunday morning attendance is approximately 200. Average active student participation is 15-20 students, though the program has many more reachable students both within the church and through close connections.
