JOB SUMMARY:
This person serves as the “institutional compliance expert or authority” on the 340b program. Responsible for the management and administration of 340b drug discount program, including monitoring of 340b drug purchasing, inventory processes, dispensing patterns, monthly reporting on savings opportunities, split billing software maintenance, and all areas of program compliance. Ensures compliance with all aspects of the 340b program and implements all applicable aspects of HRSA’s Office of Pharmacy Affairs guidance, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of an Associate’s degree in business or computer science required.

Previous experience with or knowledge of 340b program strongly preferred.

Previous hospital pharmacy and/or hospital billing experience required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and Outlook) required.

Provides outstanding customer service and maintains a high degree of confidentiality.

Attention to detail.

Self-motivated, ability to self-supervise.

Sound interpersonal, decision-making, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections.

Able to talk and converse distinctly with others in person and over the phone.

Able to walk/stand for extended periods, some lifting. Able to reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel.

Demonstrates adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to read/write, discern small objects, to accurately fill medication orders.

Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections.

Must have strength/stamina to deal with stressful situations.

Adequate fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to type and accurately fill medication orders.

Vision must be corrected to enable reading of test results in a clear and concise manner. Color blindness would be evaluated as to degree of inhibition in performing tests assigned.
