Independent Sales Representative Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Independent Sales Representative to cover Minnehaha, McCook, Lincoln, and Turner counties in South Dakota for Stine Seed Company. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow professionally and financially with a respected national seed company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary ambassador of the Stine brand within the assigned territory.
- Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of Stine seed products and services applicable to the assigned territory.
- Communicate and implement Stine's sales programs and policies within the assigned territory to meet sales goals.
- Work with the Stine Regional Sales Agronomist to provide high-level sales support within the assigned territory.
Competencies/Qualifications:
- At least three years of ag experience, including previous experience in agronomy, crop production or seed sales.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of proven sales techniques, excellent negotiating skills, and ability to overcome obstacles.
- Demonstrated success in dealer development and retention.
- Initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision to meet established goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with growers by understanding their needs and values.
