Environmental, Energy, Mining and Transportation Attorney - Kansas City Job Category : AttorneyRequisition Number : ENVIR001968Posted : December 16, 2024Employment Type : Full-TimeWork Arrangement : HybridJob Description Stinson LLP is seeking an Attorney with five years or more of experience to join the Energy, Environmental, Mining, and Transportation Division in our Kansas City office.Qualifications Required : The candidate must have at least five years of regulatory counseling or litigation experience in environmental or energy law.Qualified candidates will have : Five or more years of experience in regulatory counseling or litigation, with an energy or environmental focus and experience working with federal agencies.Excellent academic credentials.Strong writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Federal judicial clerkship experience (a plus).The successful candidate should have the following experience and skills : Significant responsibility for drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.Proficiency handling e-discovery and factual investigation and development.Experience advising on major federal statutes such as the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA, CERCLA, or other core environmental statutory and regulatory schemes.Administrative law experience, such as participation in rulemaking processes and / or rulemaking challenges, advising on permitting, and enforcement processes.Experience managing teams of attorneys on litigated or regulatory matters.The ability to apply creative, strategic, and analytical thinking to identify and resolve complex legal issues.Experience with clients in the manufacturing, transportation, or mining sectors.Active license in the applicable jurisdiction or the ability to waive in to practice in that jurisdiction is required.
