Overview
The Inspector / Plans Examiner plays a crucial role in ensuring that construction projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations. This position involves conducting inspections of construction activities and drawings to assess their safety, quality, and adherence to building codes. Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial buildings at various stages of construction.
- Review building plans and specifications to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Identify potential safety hazards and code violations during inspections.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting inspection findings and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with contractors, architects, and property owners to address compliance issues.
- Utilize financial software for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Analyze inspection data to identify trends or areas for improvement in building practices.
- Negotiate solutions to compliance issues while maintaining a focus on safety and quality standards.
- Stay updated on changes in building codes, workers compensation laws, and industry best practices.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
