Sales and Purchasing Coordinator

Spice & Tea Merchants, a franchise company with stores throughout the eastern US, is currently hiring a Sales and Purchasing coordinator for our position. This role is the liaison between the warehouse operations and franchise stores, and functions as the gatekeeper between the stores and our vendors. Job Responsibilities

• Process all incoming orders from stores (order entry, invoicing, and payment collection)
• Act as primary contact with corporate and franchise stores on their product/ordering questions and needs
• Assist corporate store managers with order questions or issues, address any questions with products or order quantities in a timely manner to ensure well-stocked corporate stores
• Pick/pack/and ship wholesale orders per procedures, with a focus on accuracy
• Receive all vendor orders promptly and properly, including verifying accuracy of shipment against packing lists and original order; properly stocking shipments upon receipt; and addressing order shortages, damage claims, or other order issues
• Maintain wholesale website with current product descriptions, images, pricing, and other necessary information through weekly updates
• Develop and maintain strong product knowledge, including identifying products by sight or smell
• Manage inventory levels of stocked products and proactively monitor purchasing strategies to effectively manage company expenses
• Manage and maintain packaging supplies (boxes, mailers, tape, labels) and order as needed
• Organize and maintain warehouse inventory
• Perform cycle and annual inventory counts to ensure inventory accuracy
• Process invoices for all vendor orders, enter invoices for payment, and update inventory in Quickbooks and wholesale website

Position Requirements and Skills

• 1-3 years of customer service, purchasing, or sales experience
• Bachelors degree in Business, Communications, or Operations (preferred)
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook
• Proficient in Quickbooks (preferred)
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Fast-learner, problem solver, curious, and entrepreneurial
• Able to lift up to 50lbs
• Passion for teas, spices, or cooking (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,500.00 - $45,000.00 per year
