As a Private Banking Division Manager, your day will be filled with opportunities to lead a team of Private Bankers in the delivery of relationship management and new business development for clients and prospects and identify, solicit, service, deliver and coordinate the delivery of a broad range of financial products and services via team members. Banking and leadership experience is important while Stock Yards Bank will provide a professional environment to continually improve the candidate’s skills and to further his / her career goals for advancement within the banking profession.
Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Serve as a Manager / Lender, leading and supporting a team of Private Bankers in the delivery of a broad range of financial products and services to clients and prospects
- Provide a team of Private Bankers with direct support and mentoring in all facets of credit underwriting, product delivery and new business development
- Lead Private Bankers in the execution of proper sales and relationship management techniques, oversee their performance, provide appropriate feedback and support their growth
- Evaluate loan requests and approve credits within approved authority and make credit recommendations to Executive Management
- Analyze financial condition of clients and prospects to determine capacity for credit obligations
- Negotiate credit terms and conditions to properly manage the Bank’s exposure to risk and ensure sufficient return
- Spearhead and coordinate communication with other departments of the bank as to the functioning of processes, procedures, and operations
- Work with EVP and Human Resources in recruitment and hiring of team members
- Assist with expansion of market presence
- Complete annual evaluations of employees, budget, and confirmation of incentive plans
- Serve on internal Bank committees for review of policies and procedures
- Support Bank’s commitment to community involvement by serving on external charitable Board of Directors and by attending functions
- Responsible for managing / directing a Private Banking Division
- Supervise Private Bankers and support staff
- Effectively resolve employee problems and disputes, including employee performance as compared to stated goals, teamwork accountability, work quality, and any other job or workplace issues that occur.
