Purpose
The Designer will play a key role in developing innovative and culturally relevant visual content for an in-house creative team, contributing to the growth of the Stocksy brand. Working closely with the Senior Designer, this role requires creativity, technical expertise, and effective communication to produce diverse, high-quality assets that resonate with our target audience.

Role type: FT Employee (or FT Dependent Contractor if residing outside of Canada)
Hours: This is a full time position with the standard hours of 35 hours per week, 7 hours per day. Typical office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PST, Monday to Friday (or in agreement with Team Lead). Overtime may be required as part of annual salary. All conditions of employment will be in accordance with the BC Employment Standards Act.

Technical Competencies:
- Experience: 3-6 years of experience in the design field.
- Design Tools: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and Figma.
- UI/UX Expertise: Experience designing wireframes, with knowledge of usability principles and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
- Web Design Knowledge: Basic proficiency in HTML and CSS, and experience working with CMS platforms like Webflow, Unbounce, or HubSpot.
- Project Management: Familiarity with tools such as Trello, or Asana, for tracking and prioritizing tasks.
- Marketing Integration: Knowledge of digital marketing strategies, and how design choices influence user engagement and conversions.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Senior Designer to produce visually compelling content for campaigns, brand initiatives, and marketing materials.
- Develop designs across a range of mediums, including digital, print, motion graphics, and social media.Maintain and promote consistency of Stocksys brand guidelines: https://brandpad.io/stocksy
- Production of a wide-range of brand materials for social, marketing, internal communication, brand collateral, motion graphics, and more.
- Maintain brand consistency by adhering to and evolving our visual identity and brand guidelines.
- Execute projects efficiently using design tools, version control, and project management platforms.
- Contribute fresh ideas and strategies by staying ahead of industry trends and leveraging emerging design techniques.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing and sales teams to align designs with broader strategic goals.
