Senior Accountant - Non Profit

Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join their team.

This is a full-time position based in New York City, with a hybrid schedule requiring four days per week in the Manhattan office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly revenue entries
• Help plan and manage the monthly and quarterly closing processes
• Help prepare trial balance and financial reports for month-end close, updated supporting schedules, and variance analysis
• Prepare intercompany related journal entries, analyze, and reconcile across all entities and maintain schedules of intercompany balances and transactions
• Help prepare schedules and analysis for annual financial and uniform guidance audits
• Other tasks as assigned by the Assistant Controller

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar discipline
• 5 years of professional accounting experience
• 4 years of professional non-profit accounting experience
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience communicating and explaining complex financial information
• Experience manipulating, organizing, and presenting large amounts of data
• Proficient in Microsoft Office. Advanced skills in Excel required
• Experience with non-profit enterprise software, such as SAGE Intacct, Expensify, Workday, Financial Edge, or similar required

Special Considerations:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $82,568 - $100,000 annually.

In addition, this salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state and depending on the role), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
