What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Branch Manager position at Stone Bank?
The purpose of this position is to assist the Branch Manager in providing leadership to the Bank through efficient daily operations in all areas of banking service.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of two years of retail banking experience.
- Experience as a head teller or leadership experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Adequate previous experience required to perform supervisory duties and cross-sell services.
- Ability to remain professional and composed under pressure.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Assists Branch Manager in efforts to reach profit, performance, and customer service goals.
- Oversees banking services, especially customer service, to ensure excellence; contacts or assists customer and prospective customers.
- Coordinates communication with branch staff
- Works to meet branch performance standards while remaining compliant with bank policies and procedures.
- Manages branch operations when manager is absent.
- Other duties as assigned by Head of Retail Banking

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
- Job Environment: Work Station located in lobby of the branch. Must be able to concentrate with distractions.
- Equipment Used: Computer, printer, Microsoft Office, scanner/copier, telephone.
- Physical Criteria: Sitting for extended periods of time, bending, lifting 5-10 lbs. Must be able to adequately hear and verbally communicate with customers, both face-to-face and over the telephone. Must be able to walk back and forth for a distance of 5-15 feet behind the teller line.
