Frequency of Pay: Bi-weekly
Schedule: Monday-Friday, and may include an occasional weekend day.
The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator is a key player to ensure the daily upkeep, operation and maintenance of a first-in-class facility consisting of buildings and grounds for a suite of historic barns, a working farm and our two Michelin starred partner restaurant, Blue Hill at Stone Barns. The ideal candidate will, in a collaborative environment, have a thorough approach to working, maintaining, and/or repairing all indoor and outdoor premises is a must. The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator will provide assistance on special projects for the campus and collaborate with other departments as needed, upholding the strictest safety guidelines.
The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator will take on a combination of indoor and outdoor tasks. For indoor, they will have some familiarity with facilities systems such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry repairs, and experience with various tools and machinery. Outdoor maintenance will entail general landscape duties, such as lawn care upkeep, assisting with fencing, entrance and trail cleaning, snow removal, along with more general outdoor maintenance work that will come up over the course of the seasons. Furthermore, you have a strong service ethic and an interest in supporting an active team and facility that is open to the public Wednesday through Sunday.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of indoor spaces and other areas to identify maintenance needs
- Address any work orders for repairs, including plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance
- Ensure cleanliness and functionality of all indoor spaces, including restrooms, kitchens, and event halls
- On occasion, assist in the setup and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring equipment and furniture are properly arranged
- Assist in developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules
- Respond to maintenance emergencies promptly and efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
- Communicate effectively with staff, vendors, and management
- Conduct regular inspections of barns and structures to identify and address maintenance needs
- In collaboration with Ecosystems Department, help, maintain the areas surrounding the barns.
- Seasonal support with groundskeeping tasks, e.g. lawns, gardens, and farm areas
- Maintain farm infrastructure, including fences, gates, barns, and outbuildings
- Coordinate with farm staff to address maintenance needs related to agricultural equipment and facilities
- Manage snow removal, landscaping, and seasonal grounds maintenance
- Ensure the safety and upkeep of all outdoor pathways and guest areas
- Observe and report any damages, unsafe conditions or facilities related problems to the Facilities Director
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or agricultural setting
- Strong understanding of building maintenance, groundskeeping, and farm operations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Experience with plumbing, electrical, groundskeeping
- Dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, and a good communicator with staff and public alike
- Operational and safety knowledge of professional equipment including tractor loader, skid steer, dump truck, snowplow, power washers, back blower, string trimmer
- High degree of professional maturity, responsibility and reliability
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as a member of a team, thoroughly and with attention to detail and follow through
- Ability to take initiative, proactively point out problems and areas for improvement, assess priorities, and manage a variety of tasks efficiently and effectively
- Competent and comfortable with technology
