Machine Operator

Stone Hill Excavating, LLC is now interviewing for full-time, highly experienced machine operator's with both physical and intellectual knowledge in the digging of foundations/basements, utility & electric trenching and hook-ups, MUST BE PROFICIENT IN DIGGING ON GRADE.

Knowledge in septic system installations and the ability to read blueprints, specifically septic system plans and shoot elevations is a PLUS.

This position will also require the capability and willingness to perform manual labor when needed! We are looking for employees who work well under pressure and deadlines, and who is capable of getting the job done in a professional and timely manner! This is a long-term position with room for growth within our company.

Location:

Hackettstown, NJ (Preferred) or within 25 miles

Minimum Qualifications:

· High school diploma or GED

· of highly proficient experience operating heavy motorized machinery such as an Excavator, Skidsteer, Backhoe & Trackhoe

· Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) preferred

· Must be willing to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 3-6 months of hire date

Requirements & Job Duties:

· Must have daily transportation to jobs and/or shop

· Proficient experience and knowledge using all exampled machines in digging and backfilling new foundations

· Proficient experience and knowledge using all exampled machines used to dig and install water lines and electrical trenches

· Must be experienced with fine grading/grades and the use of lasers - DIGGING ON GRADE IS A MUST-KNOW!

· Proficient experience and knowledge in installing septic systems - must be able to read and comprehend blueprints, specifically septic system plans and shoot elevations.

· Must be able to demonstrate ALL knowledge of the above upon interview(s) and hire

· Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner and follow all job site safety requirements

· Knowledge of OSHA construction standard requirements related to excavations and trench safety

· Ability to perform heavy lifting – 50 lbs.

· Ability to perform light maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment when needed - MECHANIC EXPERIENCE A PLUS!

· Exceptional time management skills aimed at ensuring that machine operations and labor duties are carried out in a time efficient manner

· Clean driving record required!

· Pre-employment drug testing required

· Saturday availability is required

· All medical conditions must be disclosed prior to hire

· Performance of other misc. work is required – flexibility, coachability, and interest in continued education of excavation work is a plus!

· A professional and approachable outer appearance is a must – YOU are representing our company at all times!

PLEASE NOTE: Overtime may be frequent and is required!
