Fast paced growth oriented bank is building out their CRE business and looking for a VP Senior Credit Underwriter. This is a key role for the Credit team responsible for undertaking and presenting credit risk analysis in support the lending team
The group supports the origination and new business functions with pre-screening, analyzing financial and market information, structure of deal and oversight of the credit application.
- Comprehensive financial and credit risk analysis to support loan requests; including financials, projections, industry/market, structure, management and environmental.
- Work collaboratively with Lending Officers throughout the transaction process, ensuring financials are complete, accurate and received in a timely manner. Attend client meetings and/or site visits as appropriate
- Specific focus on collateral analysis, projected financial results and variance reports on credits with base and asset coverage structures
- Underwrite and navigate the approval process for new loans in multiple asset classes with senior term debt and revolvers as well as in the smaller, specialized healthcare cottage industry group including junior finance for acquisitions and turnaround investments.
- Lead the credit committee presentation for senior secured term loans, respond to board member questions, and ultimately receive approval for close
- Oversee the bank’s syndicated debt portfolio
Candidates will have 8 years of experience and MUST have banking experience in the CRE space. Knowledge of healthcare a plus and exposure to credit and risk preferred. MBA
Salary : $160,000 - $195,000
